Quality, environmental responsibility, safe working and competent inspection.

ISO 9001:2015
Quality management certification

ISO 9001:2015

Certification Since: October 2003

Quality management provides the framework for consistent inspection delivery, from understanding a client’s requirements to reviewing the completed technical report. It connects responsibilities, controlled procedures, competent personnel, equipment control and documented evidence so that assignments can be planned and evaluated systematically.

Inspecta’s published scope covers conventional and advanced NDT, post-weld heat treatment, cathodic protection, QA/QC, plant inspection, tubular inspection and rope access for oilfield inspection and testing. In practice, quality planning brings the inspection method, reporting requirements, acceptance criteria and review responsibilities together before work begins.

The October 2003 date records the beginning of the company’s quality certification history; it does not mean that the 2015 edition existed in 2003. The applicable legal entity, current certificate, validity and scope should be checked for each contract.

Environmental management certification

ISO 14001:2015

Certification Since: June 2019

Environmental management supports a structured approach to identifying how operations interact with the environment and controlling the significant effects. The framework addresses environmental responsibilities, objectives, operational planning, performance review and continuing improvement.

For inspection work, practical planning can include waste segregation, chemical handling, spill prevention, transport, resource use and emergency arrangements. These considerations depend on the site and the techniques selected, and are coordinated with the operator’s environmental requirements.

Inspecta’s published service scope includes NDT and advanced NDT, PWHT, cathodic protection, QA/QC, plant and tubular inspection, and rope access for oil and gas fields. Certification relates to the stated management-system scope; project teams should obtain the current certificate and confirm the activities and locations covered.

Occupational health and safety certification

ISO 45001:2018

Certification Since: May 2020

An occupational health and safety management system supports the identification of workplace hazards, assessment of risks and planning of controls to prevent injury and ill health. Leadership, worker participation, operational control and improvement are central to a consistent approach.

Inspection teams may work at height, in confined spaces, near operating equipment or in areas requiring isolation and controlled access. Assignment planning therefore considers competence, permits, equipment suitability, communication, supervision and emergency response alongside the inspection objective.

The published scope encompasses conventional and advanced NDT, PWHT, cathodic protection, QA/QC, plant inspection, tubular inspection and rope access for oil and gas fields. The management-system certificate complements the task-specific risk assessment and the operator’s site rules; it does not replace them.

Inspection-body accreditation

ISO / IEC 17020 — ALGERAC

Algeria ALGERAC Accreditation Since: February 2024

ISO/IEC 17020 addresses the competence, impartiality and consistency of organisations performing inspection. Accreditation is distinct from management-system certification: it concerns the inspection body and the specific inspection activities listed in its accredited scope.

Inspecta’s published Algeria information identifies ALGERAC accreditation covering general NDT, advanced NDT, cathodic protection and corrosion monitoring, with relevant IAF/ILAC guidance. Inspection methods, personnel authorisation, equipment suitability, controlled records and clear reporting contribute to reliable inspection decisions.

Clients should review the accreditation certificate and scope schedule for the precise entity, location, inspection field and authorised activities applicable to their project. An accreditation statement must not be interpreted as covering every Group company, country or service.

GERMANISCHER LLOYD
Published approval record

GERMANISCHER LLOYD

Approval Since: December 2023

Inspecta records a Germanischer Lloyd approval from December 2023. The published description relates to health and safety management for inspection and associated oilfield services.

The listed activities include conventional and advanced NDT, post-weld heat treatment, cathodic protection, quality assurance and quality control, plant inspection, tubular inspection and rope access. For project qualification, an approval is assessed against its issuing organisation, named entity, approved activities, conditions and validity.

The original approval document should be requested where a client or classification requirement depends on this record. The published mark and date alone do not establish the present scope or constitute a blanket classification approval for every marine or offshore activity.

LIFTING EQUIPMENT ENGINEERS ASSOCIATION (LEEA)
Professional association membership

LIFTING EQUIPMENT ENGINEERS ASSOCIATION (LEEA)

Membership Since: January 2009

LEEA is the international trade association for the lifting equipment industry. Its work supports the development of good practice through industry guidance, technical resources, training and professional engagement across the lifting equipment lifecycle.

Lifting equipment inspection requires attention to identification, condition, maintenance history, operating environment and the examination requirements applicable to each item. Membership provides an industry connection that supports professional development and awareness of lifting-related practice.

Inspecta records membership from January 2009. Membership is different from accreditation, personnel qualification or certification of an individual lifting appliance. Clients should confirm the current member entity and status, while the inspector’s competence, examination scope and equipment-specific records are established separately for each assignment.
